Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that this year’s iPhone 17 models may not feature a reduced Dynamic Island, as previously rumored. Kuo stated that the Dynamic Island size will remain “the same” across all iPhone 17 models.
Another analyst, Jeff Pu, previously rumored that Apple would use “metalens” for Face ID on the iPhone 17 Pro, which would make the Dynamic Island smaller. However, it seems that this may not happen.
The Dynamic Island was first introduced on the iPhone 14 Pro and has yet to change its size. While Apple is rumored to want to shrink the notch to increase screen real estate, it’s unclear when Apple will be able to do so.
However, the iPhone 17 is expected to feature other design changes, such as a slimmer iPhone 17 Air and a horizontal rear camera arrangement on the iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro.
