Samsung Galaxy S25 wireless charging system specs revealed, supports Qi 2 but…

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series was launched with support for Qi 2.1, the latest wireless charging standard, but there was no upgrade in charging speeds, still supporting only 15W of charging.

Qi 2.1 comes with “Qi2 Ready”, which allows smartphone manufacturers to move the magnets into the case instead of having them embedded in the body. This allows Samsung to sell its own magnetic cases, allowing users to fully use Qi2 and MagSafe accessories.

Despite supporting Qi 2.1, the Galaxy S25 series will still have the same 15W wireless charging speeds, meaning that even if you use a magnetic wireless charger, you won’t get a faster charging speed.

However, it’s possible that the Galaxy S25 series will be able to support faster than 15W wireless charging if you use a compatible charger. Samsung used to have a magnetic wireless charging accessory on its website, but has now removed it.
