New tvOS 18.2 Beta supports 21:9 aspect ratio projectors

Apple has released tvOS 18.2 beta 1 to developers for testing. The highlight is support for the 21:9 aspect ratio used in projectors, but there are also new features:

tvOS 18.2 Developer Beta 1 introduces the ability for Apple TV to automatically detect the best aspect ratio for your television or projector.

New iOS 18.2 Features

Support for 21:9 aspect ratio: Apple TV automatically detects the best aspect ratio for your TV or projector. Options include 16:9, 21:9, 2.37:1, 2.39:1, 2.40:1, DCI 4K, and 32:9.
Hide/Show Audio Feedback: Choose whether to show or hide feedback for volume adjustments from external devices, such as a soundbar.
However, we’ll have to wait and see when this version will be released.
