The Xiaomi SU7 comes with an attractive price, starting at only 215,900 yuan (about 1.1 million baht), which is almost 10% cheaper than the Model 3. It is also packed with cutting-edge features that directly meet the needs of Chinese consumers.
The price hikes of all three Model 3 models in China earlier this year may have been part of the reason for the drop in sales, coupled with fierce competition from domestic electric car manufacturers, which has put Tesla in a major challenge.

While Tesla remains the leader in the global electric car market, the success of the Xiaomi SU7 shows that Chinese manufacturers are starting to gain strength and can compete on a level playing field.

Competition in China’s electric vehicle market is set to intensify as Xiaomi prepares to launch the YU7 SUV in mid-2025, which will directly take on the Tesla Model Y.
