Google launches Gemini, an intelligent assistant, to be integrated into the Galaxy S25 series

Google has updated Gemini to take AI to the next level on the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones, ending Bixby.

At Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, Google announced a major update to its Gemini assistant that will take the smartphone experience to the next level. Gemini can now take a single command and work across multiple apps, like searching for a restaurant or saving your favorite sports team’s schedule to your calendar.

These capabilities build on the “App Extensions” feature that was previously exclusive to some Google apps and third-party apps like WhatsApp and Spotify, but this update is no less interesting, as Gemini will now also support Samsung’s own apps, Calendar, Notes, Reminder, and Clock, for Galaxy S25 users. Users on other platforms, including Android, iOS, and the web, will also get the cross-app functionality.

One of the interesting points is that Samsung announced Gemini as the main personal assistant of the Galaxy S25 Series. Users can easily call Gemini by pressing and holding the power button. It will automatically call Gemini. Bixby is no longer Samsung’s first choice.

Not only that, Gemini Live, which is a voice assistant mode, has been improved to be more powerful for Galaxy S25 users. Users can share photos, files or YouTube clips to the chat interface and ask questions about what is shared immediately.

In addition, Circle to Search has also been updated by Google to make this tool search and respond to users faster.
