Xiaomi announced that it will launch its second electric car, the ‘Xiaomi YU7’, which will be an electric SUV. It is expected to be officially launched in June or July 2025.
The Xiaomi YU7 has been officially confirmed by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, and is currently undergoing road testing before being launched in June or July next year.

The Xiaomi YU7 uses the same design language as the Xiaomi SU7. The front retains a closed look with familiar headlights and grille shapes. The rear comes with full-width taillights and a roof spoiler, which enhance the car’s sporty appearance.

The Xiaomi YU7 measures 4,999mm long, 1,996mm wide and 1,600mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,000mm. It weighs 2,405kg and has a top speed of 253km/h. It has a ternary Li-ion battery from CATL.

The Xiaomi YU7 is powered by a dual-motor system, with the front motor producing a maximum power of 220 kW and the rear motor producing 288 kW. Preliminary specifications revealed by MIIT suggest that this is the same powertrain found in the Xiaomi SU7 AWD.
Xiaomi YU7 Price
The official price is still under wraps. The Xiaomi YU7 is likely to be priced slightly higher than the SU7, which is expected to start at 250,000 – 350,000 yuan.
In November, Xiaomi revealed that it had delivered over 100,000 Xiaomi SU7s, ahead of schedule for its 2024 target. The company is targeting sales of 130,000 units this year, so we’ll have to wait and see how the company’s electric car is received.
